What should my blood sugar be after I wake up (fasting)? What about before and after meals?

For most people with diabetes, the American Diabetes Association recommends a fasting or before-meals blood sugar goal of 70–130 mg/dl (4-7 mmol/L). One to two hours after eating, a postprandial blood sugar reading at or under 180 mg/dl (10 mmol/L) is recommended.
